Covid Diaries: Light at the end of the tunnel

Finally, got the chance to head out to a National Park yesterday. Wohoo! Being in isolation for more than two months, aren't we all excited to go out and have a change of scenery!

Did some errands in Dee Why yesterday and on the way back decided to drop by Garigal National Park which is just 25 mins away from Dee Why.

It was a quick 30 min downward walk and you end up at the Flat Rock Beach. Nice and quite secluded.

Saw just two kids hanging out in the sand, with their Dad sitting at the docked boat.

It was late afternoon, so only passed through two groups of walkers.

Also, I finally got my Learners license. Went to the Service NSW 15 mins before my scheduled test, and there was a long queue. I have my scheduled exam so I didn't have to queue myself. I was allowed to get in around 3pm.

The knowledge test is quite alright. I've been practicing for a number weeks, so most of the questions are very familiar. I still had to read carefully though. Overall, passed it with only 1 mistake!

Today, I get to do my 1 hour driving lessons. It wasn't too bad and I think 2-3 hours more and I'll be good to get my full license.

Restrictions are beginning to ease up in this part of the world. And I hope everyone out there are also getting their chance to get out or soon see that light at the end of the tunnel. As usual, we still need to practice social distancing and avoid the second wave.

That's all for now. Keep safe!

K
